Cerruti flagship store
New York - USA - 1999
The Madison avenue location was chosen because it offered the opportunity to have one building with its entire façade to represent the image of Cerruti, an important maison in fashion.
The internal space was entirely reconstructed, starting from the demolition of the first floor and the relocation of the stairway, in order to create an impressive double height volume at the entrance.
On the ground floor the men’s and women’s collection of “Cerruti Arte” is presented along the two side walls, divided by a four metre high screen.
The other two floors house the VIP selling areas, which can be separated from the rest of the store by sliding panels made of wengè wood.
Great attention was dedicated to materials and finishes used in the store.
The stone floor and all the furniture were produced in Italy (B&B contract, with some pieces also from the Maxalto collection) but the restructuring of the internal space and the construction of the new stair were executed directly in New York City with a very tight timing and at high level of quality.
