The head offices of B&B Italia, a leading modern furniture company based in the outskirts of Milano, Italy, are housed in a 1970s high-tech box designed by Renzo Piano, next to the factory building and the showroom.
The interior space, free of supporting structure, is arranged on one single level spanning the entire depth of the building.
A new reception and four small meeting rooms wrapped in glass were created along the interior path that connects the parking with the showroom, bisecting the office building in two distinct working spaces with an hallway paved in Botticino marble.
The main working space houses the executive and administrative offices, arranged around a service core located at the center of the building.
All the furniture is designed by Citterio and Partners, based on a modular system easily adjustable to the various open-space configurations.
Each workstation, based on a 165 cm high flexible wall system, integrates a standard “Duo” lighting system by Ansorg.
