This project aims at promoting the revival of a residential town with a master plan oriented towards the creation of an attractive residential environment. The scheme intend to give shape to the landscape and welcome urban residential settlements. This new presence introduces a change that required the site to take on a new name, corresponding to the post-industrial future of the town, and requires the implementation of a park which was to be the venue of cultural events.
The specific character of this new settlement represents a new way of living in the town centre, shaping the environment so as to introduce new lifestyles, contemporary and dynamic. The residential offer is based on the creation of an exceptional environmental quality contact with Nature, energy saving, use of ecologically compatible materials, use of light technologies, noise protection, safety, exclusion of traffic flows, etc. - and intends to promote flexible dwelling conditions both for the variety of the social groups and the possibility of integrating home, job, creativity and leisure time. The building models proposed rows of houses in green areas with private gardens, tower houses facing the public park (covering an area of 160,000 sq. m.) - make it possible to create a variety of “dwelling clusters” for each group where the small-scale of the family dimensions can be combined with the larger horizon of a public park, a metropolis and as far as the tower houses were concerned the panorama of the Alps.
Referring to the renewed tradition of European towns, the project creates a special quarter with extra-urban aspirations: multiplayer, pluralist, ready to undergo changes in destination and transformations over time.
